computer is dead
I haven't posted on this blog in a while. I've had some issues that I've been trying to take care of. But I promise that I will be posting another one of my travels soon. I just have to get my computer working again, since all my pictures are on it and not the laptop.

Panama City Florida 2005
I guess my trip to Panama City Florida back in 2005 would be a good place to start with this blog. This was a trip that I took with a good friend of mine (Sarah). We left late in the day to make it there early in the morning for check in. Neither of us have ever been to Panama City so we go online and printed out directions, I believe it was around the time that we reached Alabama that the directions where off a little. But we where still able to find our way around after being a little stressed out. Lucky for us it was daylight by that time and we where able to see the signs to figure out where we needed to be. Well when we get to Panama City we noticed that we had arrived three hours early. So we drive to the only restaurant that we see that is open (this was in August, seemed like everything there was shut down). Long story short we still ended up having to sleep in the car in the parking garage for about two hours in some pretty hot weather. Well over the next couple days we look up all kinds of fun things to do while we're there, I believe the first one we did was we visited Gulf World. If you're ever in Panama City I highly recommend it.
It was cool seeing all the Animals. We also looked up Scuba diving, we call up the place and there's no answer. So I give it a couple hours since it was early in the morning, then around 11am I think, I was finally able to reach someone. And all I have to say is wow they were rude. At that point we where ready to just look for something else to do. We where not going to let some rude scuba diving place hurt our vacation. So we decided to ride on a pirate ship, it was a nice relaxing time and got to see lots of Jelly fish. The pirate ship is heavily geared towards kids so parents this would be a great time for you and your children.
The only other thing we did there was rented a scooter and motorcycle. I rented an Aprilia 50cc bike while Sarah opted for the scooter. We road around on those little bikes for about 2 hours. For some reason Sarah had me leading on the bikes, and she was following me. Well I didn't know a lot about the town and the streets there so I was just taking random turns down streets like I do on my big bike at home, and the next thing I know we are on the main road with a speed limit of 60mph on these little bikes. The bike I was on topped out around 45-50mph and Sarah's scooter was only at about 35-40mph. I'm pretty sure some of the locals where ready to kill us. Thats about all the stories I have from that trip, the rest of the time we just kind of hung out and relaxed. Had a lot of fun and would like to go back, but not really in a rush.

My Travel blog
whats up people of the world, I just started to blog about a week ago. The first one is at http://halliwoodsblog.blogspot.com/ that blog was created mainly for me to just stay focused on some things I wanted to do. Well it started going in to just talking about riding my bicycle for 100 miles in one day. So I figured I would just keep it at that, and create more blogs. Not sure if blog spot allows for multi blogs but I hope I don't lose the other one by creating this one. But the main focus of this blog is going to be to record my travels, I don't get to travel to often but would love to start traveling more. And I feel that this blog is going to help me focus on getting out and seeing more of the world. Once I create a nice list of places that I want to travel to I will post it up. I will also be posting pictures and stories behind some of my past travels, when I have time.
